Book - The Future of Cross Border E-Commerce
In 2019, we published an excellent book titled "The Future of Cross Border E-Commerce" based on the proceedings of the International Cross Border E-Commerce (CBEC) Forum we held in 2018.
The book provides a comprehensive look at the rapid expansion of e-commerce across international borders. It includes chapters written by professors and researchers from institutions in China, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Kenya, Egypt, Thailand and Barbados covering a diverse range of CBEC topics.
Some key insights the book provides include:
- An in-depth examination of the factors driving China's success as the world leader in e-commerce.
- An overview of India's new national e-commerce policy and task force aimed at fueling growth in the sector.
- Analysis of e-commerce development in emerging markets like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Mongolia and Kenya.
- A case study of Alibaba's "Taobao villages" model bringing e-commerce to rural areas of China and its potential for replication.
- Exploration of how blockchain technology could transform intellectual property protection in cross border e-commerce.
- Assessments of consumer perspectives and experiences with e-commerce in multiple countries.
In total, the book represents a comprehensive international perspective on the current CBEC landscape and future opportunities. We found the insights highly valuable for anyone looking to better understand the growth of global e-commerce.
