Sponsored by the Chinese Scholarship Council and hosted by Huazhong Agricultural University, the 2024 International Cross-Border E-commerce Summer School Program will be held in Yili City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region, China, from August 5th to August 22nd.

1. Content of Training

The program will be conducted in the real business context of cross-border e-commerce. Experienced entrepreneurs in the field will share their knowledge and provide hands-on training. The course will cover basic e-commerce theory and intensive practice based on real business scenarios.

Trainees will have the opportunity to visit the Khorgos border between China and Kazakhstan.

Excellent trainees may find potential business partners in China.

  • Undergraduate students, postgraduate students, teachers, researchers, entreprenurs from Afghanistan, Pakistan. Egypt. Uganda, Bangladesh. Sri Lanka. Kenya. Uzbekistan. Russia, Mozambique, Cote D’ivoire, Ethiopia.
  • Have an interest in cross border e-commerce and trade.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • International students already studying in China are NOT eligible to apply.

4. Application Deadline and Result Announcement

  • The deadline for submission of applications is June 25th, 2024.
  • The results will be released before July 10th, 2024.
  • Applicants will be informed about the result via email.

5. Selection Process

  • A committee from Huazhong Agricultural University will make the selection.

6. Financial support

(a) There is no financial support for international travel to and from China, i.e. participants should cover the cost of air ticket to China (and back home) by themselves.

(b) The financial support from China Scholarship Council and the local government will cover the cost of meals, accommodation, tuition fees, local transportation, and insurance during the training period.

(c) Moreover, while the organizers will facilitate the visa application process, participants will be responsible for covering their own visa fees.

7. Other issues

As candidates may come from different countries, individual instructions will be provided after the trainees have been selected.
